Purple Revolver is set to unleash their new visual arts magazine ADHD on Liverpool, providing the city’s artists with a print publication to showcase their work and next week will host a magazine making workshop at FACT.

Have you ever wanted to get into publishing, writing or magazine journalism, come along to the session in the co-working space on FACT’s ground floor next Thursday, March 6, from 3-5pm.

The session is free but places are limited, so to secure a spot, we advise that you book in advance. Please send an email, with your name and contact details to shots@purplerevolver.com

The session will explore writing and design techniques for magazines, cut and paste style for DIY zines and encourage you to create your own magazine.

Purple Revolver are always on the look out for creative talent and the best participants from the workshop will be invited to a further session and put forward for paid contributor opportunities.

The new ADHD magazine is launching to co-incide with the Biennial, and will include a pictorial report on the art exhibitions across the city.

ADHD – Attention Deficit in High Definition – magazine is a free arts and culture publication, with few words, where you can let your mind wander free.

You will be able to pick up a copy from all cafes, art venues, indie shops, good retailers and where you’d normally expect to find such offending articles.

Purple Revolver also published a DIY fanzine called Uber in recent years, there will be some of the back issues available on the day and you can read an interview by zine authority Teal Triggs with Uber’s creators here: http://www.purplerevolver.com/bulletin/the-method/122258-zine-weekly-teal-triggs-interviews-ber-zine-editors-.html
