Purple Revolver is joining forces with FACT to create a Quentin Tarantino inspired art tribute to celebrate the season of the Pulp Fiction mastermind’s films at the Picturehouse cinema today.
FACT’s upstairs bar will play host to a live canvas painting by Liverpool’s top graffiti artist Dead One during their screening of his martial arts epic Kill Bill.
Purple Revolver will also produce a video flash mob paying tribute to the stylish 2003 movie (video files will be made available to media for use on their video players/channels) by bringing the Crazy 88 gang to life.
Event specialists Purple Revolver have previously produced a Rene Magritte inspired flash mob at The Tate and an afterparty for the writer-director Tarantino’s Death Proof UK premiere, which he brought to FACT in 2007.
The flash mob will take place during the intermission and the team behind the event are promising a rare treat for Tarantino fans. Anyone keen to witness or take part in the flash mob are urged to contact Purple Revolver via e-mail: shots@purplerevolver.com
Purple Revolver Art Director Pierce King said: “We’re excited to work with FACT on a Tarantino inspired art event and flash mob.
“Liverpool enjoys a special connection with the director after he brought his UK premiere of Death Proof to the city and Picturehouse at FACT’s seasons on his films is a rare chance to see them on the big screen.
“We urge his fans to come and watch Kill Bill, grab some popcorn, enjoy the live art painting and our performance during the intermission.”
