R&B superstar Ne-Yo has struck up a partnership with Spider-Man’s creator Stan Lee to bring his own superhero to life.

Marvel comics hall of famer Stan Lee is going to unleash Libra Scale, which is a fantasy version of Ne-Yo’s upcoming album.

Working along side his icon has left Ne-Yo starstruck and the Miss Independent singer said: “I’ve been a big fan of Stan Lee for years. I’m trying not to geek-out around him.”

“It’s cool that I can take this comic book element of myself and blend it into the R&B element. I have got to draw the characters myself as well which is unbelievable.”

In the comic Ne-Yo, 27, happens to be a guy named Jerome, who has superpowers under one condition, he cannot fall in love – then Diamond Eye pops into the equation attempting to mess with the chap.

Ne-Yo’s new video taken from his album will bring the story to life after being given the Hollywood superhero treatment.

Stan Lee, 87, is hoping record sales will shoot through the roof for Ne-yo as the comic book nerds come out of the wood work.

He said: “A really good rapper inspires people. Reading a good comic book does the same thing. ”

Libra Scale hits the shelves November 1st.
