Liverpool Sound City have announced their first ever freshers party, which is promised to be ‘an antidote to foam parties, fancy dress and all that nonsense that the smarter member of the student body tries to avoid.’
Taking place on Thursday, September, 22, at The Black-E, Radio 1’s very own DJ Target and Dev will be taking to the decks, joined by Yaw, Can’t Mix Won’t Mix, The Tea Street Band, DJ Deviant and more.
You can win a pair of tickets with Purple Revolver by e-mailing email@example.com – winners will be selected at random from the first 100 entries with the subject LSC Freshers!
In addition, LSC are opening up their band submissions on 13th September for both Liverpool Sound City and Youth Live for 2012.
Bands having past successes at the ever-expanding Youth Live strand are Dustland, now managed by Liverpool label Deltasonic records, Skeleton Keys and The Vigilantes.
And for the first year Youth Live will be open to artists from across the North West region. So if you are a young artist/band/performer from any musical genre, aged 16-19, send your name, age and MySpace /SoundCloud links to firstname.lastname@example.org
