Sister to Kate Middleton, Pippa Middleton is the latest to feel the wrath of Karl Lagerfeld’s acid tongue. The Chanel designer says he doesn’t “like her face”.
While the Chanel creative director has nothing but praise for the Duchess of Cambridge, he’s apparently not a fan of her younger sister – implying that the view of her rear is more attractive than that of her front.
karl said: “Kate Middleton has a nice silhouette. I like that kind of woman, I like romantic beauties.”
On Pippa, he was less complimentary: “On the other hand, her sister struggles. I don’t like the sister’s face. She should only show her back.”
Karl famously made a public apology to Adele earlier this year, after labelling the British singer “too fat” and is renowned for his outspoken opinions.
But joining Catherine on the receiving end of a rare compliment, is Victoria Beckham – who the German-born designer has known for many years.
He applauds Victoria Beckham’s discipline and said: “She is great, I like her a lot. She had a career as a singer. She has a beautiful husband and stunning children, and now she makes a career in fashion. And that body, after four children. There are not so many who have a body like that. She is very disciplined.”
