Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld and his beloved pet cat Choupette have been immortalised as a collectable tokidoki statue.

The figurine forms part of the designer’s new collaboration with Japanese-inspired company tokidoki.

The capsule collection also features a selection of clothing – including printed jeans, casual vest tops and T-shirts, a scarf and a Karl-emblazoned clutch bag.

This marks the designer’s second partnership with the brand, which was created by Italian artist Simone Legno and is famed for its cartoon-like figurines.

Lagerfeld was first made into a tokidoki statue earlier this year (minus Choupette), to celebrate the launch of his first stand-alone store.

Karl said: “I am very flattered that I have become a tokidoki. I always loved them and I am very happy to be one of them.”

The range launches online at Net-A-Porter and will also be available to buy at the Karl Lagerfeld concept stores in Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris.

Net-A-Porter fashion director Holli Rogers said: “We love the tokidoki X Karl Lagerfeld collection. Karl really is everyone’s fashion super hero!”

The limited edition of 1000 figures are available to buy, each includes an individually numbered certificate of authenticity. Mini Karl doesn’t come cheap: retails at approximately $190
