After 27 (TWENTY SEVEN) years, the families of those 96 who perished at a football match in Sheffield can finally say that justice has been served.
Why it has taken so long remains a travesty and that this marks a new beginning rather than the end of the sad saga is clear.
However today – April 26, 2016 – is nevertheless a landmark and unforgettable day on which Justice has been seen to be done on behalf of the common man and woman.
With thanks to the jurors delivering the Hillsborough verdict whose job has been onerous and to those who have campaigned so diligently so that this decision has been made possible.
