Swedish high street giants H&M have announced their latest designer collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela, will be hitting stores November 15.
Following the elusive departure of Margiela from the Belgium fashion house in December, many doubted how the label would continue to be creatively innovative – the latest collaboration confirms their unconventional framework will be easily applied to H&M.
Speaking of the label, H&M creative advisor Margareta van den Bosch said: “Maison Martin Margiela is one of the most important and influential fashion houses of the past three decades. I am so excited by this radical collaboration which will give fashion lovers around the world the chance to wear special pieces, it will be a great and memorable fashion moment.”
A statement from the fashion house confirms great things for the collection: “The democracy of our fashion has always been at the centre of our creativity, and the collaboration with H&M allows us to push this instinct further. We will bring together the contrasting universes of the two houses in ways that will surprise all.”
With the collection shrouded in mystery Maison Martin Margiela have released a short concept video, as a teaser about the aesthetic of the collection.
The collection will profile pret-a-porter clothing and accessories for both men and women and will be available both online and in-stores.
