With Liverpool edging out Everton at Wembley, Purple Revolver is flying the flag for both colours on their way home with this amazing rap tribute to both teams.

Scousers on Wembley Way was written and performed by Blues fan Jamie Broad and features some deft rhyming skills over Naughty By Nature’s classic 1996 track, Feel My Flow.

The song filmed by LFC TV namechecks Robbie Fowler, Bill Shankly, Rhys Jones, Gary Ablett and the Hillsborough 96 and celebrates the ‘friendly rivalry’ between both teams, especially enjoyed 28 years ago when they last met in the latter stages of the FA Cup.

Jamie who spits about being inspired to step to the mic by John Barnes’ Anfield Rap, says Merseyside derbies ‘are too stressful to watch’ and he’s surely feeling a bit low now as an Everton fan on the way home from ‘That London.’

Give the video a watch… it’s a great rap tribute to show the new generation can produce a tune as worthy as Mersey Magic back in the 80s when the city’s dominance at Wembley was second to none.
