The newest installment from Madnice Marauders sees them join forces with No Fakin’ and The Shipping Forecast to showcase a record fair, featuring some of the UK’s premium record dealers.

Following on from the daytime event will be a night of music, with sets from Gumbo Yaya, Chris McBride and No Fakin’ selectors.

The event which is free, is set for Sunday 26th August beginning at 3pm, and is the second installment of ‘Diggin in the Alehouse.’ Judging by the success of the first event last year, a follow up was inevitable.

Adam McAleavey founder of Madnice said: ‘We had such a dope time last year at the first ‘diggin’ that we wanted to get involved with the No Fakin’ lads and The Ship to make sure it went off again this year.’

The setting of The Shipping Forecast will allow you to enjoy a drink as you browse a vast selection of Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Reggae, Disco, Folk, Psych and other vinyl obscurities before the switch up at 8pm, which will see DJ’s and dealers playing, strictly vinyl only, on the decks all night.

The medium of vinyl is particularly important to Madnice and Adam said: ‘It’s good to see vinyl making some form of resurgence in the past few years and we want to keep pushing the ‘keep vinyl alive’ ideal to the younger (and old) generation of music listeners.’

He said: ‘The day itself is a great opportunity to escape the horror’s of Matthew St festival weekend and get your hands dusty looking through some amazing records.’
