Delifonseca serves up a very culinary Christmas

Delifonseca is offering a true taste of Christmas this December thanks to its clutch of culinary events.

The award-winning eatery will be celebrating the most wonderful time of the year in true foodie style at both its Dockside and Fonseca’s Stanley Street venues.

Serving up a selection of indulgent dishes, the Christmas Menu offerings are ideal for friends, families, couples and colleagues alike throughout the yuletide period.

Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca said: “Christmas is certainly our favourite time of year here at Delifonseca, and year on year, we like to go ‘all out’ and produce a festive menu featuring traditional yuletide classics alongside contemporary dishes with a modern twist.

“Aside from our festive foodie events, we will be hosting our ever-popular annual Christmas Tasting Event on Wednesday December 6. On that evening, we’ll be inviting customers to our Dockside site to sample our favourite yuletide food and drinks, which make for both the ideal gift for a loved one and the perfect addition to a Christmas cupboard at home. The evening will host some of our very best suppliers who will be on hand to sample and discuss their products and we’re offering an exclusive 10% discount on products purchased on the evening.”

At Delifonseca Dockside, the Christmas menu is available throughout December and comprises menu highlights including Roast Rare Breed Belly Pork with Fennel & Apple Stuffing and Wild Mushroom & Walnut Filo Tart. Sweet toothed diners can enjoy desserts such as Egg Nog Crème Brule Cinnamon Shortbread.

Candice added: “For those who want to enjoy something different this season, we’re also bringing back our Festive Murder Mystery, and this year, it’s a prohibition Era murder mystery with a twist! Taking place throughout December in the downstairs bar of our City Centre venue Fonseca’s, the event is ideal for both smaller groups who can book a slot on a Tuesday or Thursday evening as well as larger parties, who can enjoy exclusive hire of the venue for 22 guests or more Thursday to Saturday subject to availability. Ideal for an office Christmas party, guests solve the clues to find out ‘whodunnit’, whilst enjoying festive culinary sharing platters followed by delicious desserts. The evening will commence with delicious cocktails from the bar and the drinks will continue to flow into the evening.”

Available throughout December, the Fonseca’s Christmas Menu comprises main course options such as Daube of Beef Slow-Braised in Liverpool Organic’s 24 Carat Gold and Aubergine & Chickpea Tagine, followed by dessert options such as Salted Caramel & Chocolate Pot.

Fonseca’s Christmas Menu is priced at £23 per head for a starter and main or £27 per head for a starter, main and dessert. The Christmas at Dockside menu is priced at £32.50 per head and includes a Shared Starter Platter, Main Course and Dessert.

Murder Mystery Evenings are priced at £44.95 per head and include entertainment, Sharing Platters and Dessert.
