Creative event organisers ‘Craft Creative’ are embarking upon a new season of events across Liverpool city centre, kicking off with two workshops in collaboration with local artist Karen Edwards, whose specialism lies in printmaking and letterpress.

The company, founded in 2011 seeks to provide alternative social experiences within both Liverpool and Glasgow and judging by their initial huge success, craft has definitely been brought into the 21st Century offering a completely new platform on which to explore your creative side.

About the series of collaborations with artist Karen Edwards, founder of Craft Creative Becky stresses the importance of collaborating with new artists on a regular basis.

She said: ‘We are always aiming to keep our regular crafters engaged with new and exciting workshop experiences which both attract new people, and remain reasonably priced.’

Their first workshop taking place at Leaf, Bold Street on Thursday 23rd August, will seek to teach the techniques behind block printing, allowing you to create your very own unique roll of wallpaper.

Becky revealed her excitement for the upcoming project, saying: ‘Karen and I were in agreement that there is no better way to show off a repeat block print than on wallpaper, which our customers can display like a work of art in their home. We are both extremely excited about the event and hope that the public are too.’

The workshop will see a smaller group than usual, designed to offer you personal tuition in the craft of printmaking, an aspect which Craft Creatives hopes will leave you with a piece to be proud of.

Their second event will take place on Monday 27th August, within Park at Camp and Furnace and will focus on t-shirt printing as well as providing a drop in workshop for kids.

There will be three workshops on offer throughout the day and with all materials and t-shirt included, the event is arguably the best way to spend this Bank Holiday Monday.

Tickets for both events can be booked through the official Craft Creative website:
