Conquer Liverpool city guide has hit the streets to give both visitors and locals an inside look at some of the best things to do during summer.

The début issue takes you on a journey across Liverpool uncovering of a number of cool hidden bars on a Speakeasy crawl.

The launch took place in one of the city’s most stylish speakeasies, Jenny’s Bar with a dress code of “style with a splash of purple” ensuring whether guests arrived fashionably late or on time they were immediately in the swing of things.

Guests were able to satisfy their thirst with a special cocktail menu, which took inspiration from a variety of sources including rap phenomenon The Notorious B.I.G. with Purple Revolver’s “Who shot ya?!”, the Voodou Colour Me Bad and Movema dancing around the world drink all adapted from the bar’s enticing cocktail menu.

Suits rubbed shoulders with hipsters and the eclectic mixture of party-goers was a good reflection of the inclusive culture guide the magazine aspires to be.

From stylish dresses to indie beards, Conchita Wurst, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, wouldn’t of looked out of place.

Party-goers were given the chance to shoot Godzilla with a toy purple revolver. (Disclaimer: no Godzilla’s were hurt in this process of this shooting as it was just a picture of Godzilla and it was a toy gun.) Those lucky enough to hit the target were awarded a packet of Monster Munch.

A cacophony of conversation filled the air as creative minds mingled with business savvy suits in a networking opportunity that saw contact cards flying about like gold and silver tokens in the last round of the Crystal Maze.

As the night began to peak, editor Andy Johnson took to the stage to thank his all staff for their hard work and all guests for coming and making it a righteous shindig with soulful grooves filling the dance floor.

Style, sophistication and swagger to boot, the evening flourished into the early hours of the morning.

And for those in desperate need of a coffee to cure their hangover the morning after, they need look no further than Purple Revolver’s “Coffee Crawl” as featured in the magazine.
