To celebrate the triumphant return of cult sitcom Red Dwarf on Dave, Purple Revolver are inviting fans to a one-off themed pub quiz at The Oxford pub, Kentish Town, London.
Red Dwarf first blasted onto our screens twenty four years ago following David Lister, Arnold J Rimmer, Kryten and The Cat as they smeg their way across time and space. In Series X scouser Lister remained the last human being alive and, 3 million years from Earth, resolved to his fate drifting through deep space alongside deceased colleague Rimmer, a creature evolved from domestic cats and the cleaning-obsessed mechanoid Kryten.
Fans are invited to this special charity event to include screenings of favourite episodes, a themed pub quiz filled with Red Dwarf trivia that will prove if you know your Wibbly things from Swirly things, followed by a very special prize raffle and fancy dress competition (optional).
Purple Revolver will be joined by very special guest host actor LEE CORNES AKA Lister’s Paranoia featured in series one episode Confidence and Paranoia. Mr Cornes will be presiding over proceedings as quiz master, as well as taking part in a Q&A and signing autographs for fans.
Purple Revolver’s Red Dwarf quiz event co-ordinator Angela Johnson said: “After 3 million years smegging across the galaxies, Red Dwarf series X has left us all tongue tied in its genius.
“Now that the series has aired in full, to stop us all descending to the depths of the despair squid, Purple Revolver will host a themed pub quiz spanning the past twenty four years of Dwarf.
“We’re delighted to welcome actor Lee Cornes as our very special guest who’ll be able to answer many burning questions fans have about the early days of Dwarf, including how he narrowly missed out on the roles of Rimmer and Holly.
“That’s right, dudes, it’s time to get out your revision timetables as we challenge Dwarfers from around the UK to celebrate one of the best smegging sitcoms ever made!”
