Purple Revolver cordially invite you to join the launch celebrations of their 1993 Future Throwback issue of Über this week with a party at Liverpool One in association with Dr Martens.
The new Über zine explores 18 year economic cycles and how they influence music, fashion and culture today. We delve into the music and films of 1993 and examine how movements are echoing them at the moment.
Featuring interviews with Red Dwarf legend Craig Charles, Wu Tang Abbot RZA, True Romance writer Quentin Tarantino and the Second Coming of Digital Jesus.
IS Tropical give us their thoughts on the Shaolin rappers, Lucky Beaches tells us about Kurt Cobain alongside a look into the styles of the time, the Grunge movement and Bill Murray faces eternal return in Groundhog Day.
With many thanks to Milk Presents for their excellent design skills. This is an issue not to miss when it hits the streets this week.
To launch the zine, the Polar Bar atop of Liverpool One will be transformed on Wednesday 14, into a 1990s Dr Martens Winter Wonderland timewarp, with all music played from 1993 or earlier and a special 1993 cocktail menu.
We have goody swag bags from Dr Martens and an ice luge courtesy of our friends at Glacial Art http://www.glacialart.com/ to help you get into some festive spirits.
