Amy Winehouse was knocked back when she tried to duet with Stevie Wonder this week at the Hard Rock Calling festival.
The Rehab singer looked healthy and invigorated backstage having a laugh with punters, standing on the left hand side of the stage with the other lucky spectators.
However, the bee-hive headed singer made a bee-line for the right hand side of the stage soon after which is a space exclusively for performers.
A source said, “Amy rocked up at the right hand side and told the stage manager she had been invited to sing with Stevie.”
Amy’s ambitions to get on stage with Wonder were quickly squashed by the Stage Manager who flatly refused her entry.
“He put his foot down and told her that would not happen.”
The source continued, “Stevie had planned to duet with Corinne Bailey Rae and Jay Kay from Jamiroquai but he decided it would be better to give fans the solo set they had expected to see.”
