The month of January is “flashing” by!
1 more week and we’re into February, moving at a fast pace.
For this edition of our ACBA image of the week feature, we bring you some members of the Justice League, The Flash, Batman and Green Arrow, in a hilarious comic panel.
This shot comes to us from Mohammed Alsayed, aka @toyzology on Instagram.
We reached out to him to find out a bit on what inspired this shot and how it came together and this is what he had to say:
“I was actually watching some Justice League Unlimited and once in awhile there will be a funny moment whether it’s The Flash, Batman or Green Arrow. I love those moments, so i decided to do something similar.”
“I’m already loving the new DC Collectibles DC Icons line so I used The Flash and Green Arrow from that line but the Batman you see in the second panel is actually the Arkham Origins Batman because I don’t have the Icons one yet.”
“I don’t own any fancy dioramas so I wanted to focus mainly on the emotive posing and cut-out placement. It’s basically a black backdrop, broken grey building pieces and two light sources (LED lights) mainly focusing on the figures and cutouts.”
“As for the cut-outs, I made them using a website called “www.superlame.com”. The site is used to make speech bubbles in comic book form, the laughing cutout however was from “The Killing Joke”, the last pages when Batman and Joker are laughing… I just printed that, cut it and used a black Sharpie to outline it (i do that for all my cutouts).
