Better known for her pop-country songs about boys and heart break, it seems that Taylor Swift is taking the next big step in her career by featuring on the cover of the widely credited Vogue magazine.

It has been suggested that within the showbiz world, having your face on the cover of Vogue means that you have ‘really made it’, as demonstrated by Kim Kardashian and Kanye West a few months ago, much to the shock of the public.

Perhaps as a nod towards her bubblegum pop music, the singers cover shoot is dominated by pastel hues and feminine colours such as baby blue, lilac and pastel pink. The girlish tone is perfect when accompanied by youthful and beautiful Taylor, who is only 24 years old despite her staggering fame and success.

Within the interview Swift opens up about the expected topics such as her new album and, of course, relationships.

When quizzed about boys, Taylor stated ‘”Dating or finding someone is the last thing on my mind, because I can’t picture how it could work with the way my life is,” she added. “I don’t know how a guy is supposed to walk next to his girlfriend when there are 20 men with cameras, and he can’t protect his girlfriend because that’s the life she chose’”.

Being in the spotlight is one thing, but basing most of her music around her own relationships means that the public have a relentless obsession with pop princesses personal life – so it was only to be expected that Vogue would ask her about it.

“I just don’t see how it could work, so I don’t think about it, and I kind of run from it when it presents itself. ‘Cause I don’t think any guy really… They think that they would want to get to know me, and maybe date me, but I don’t think they want what comes with it.”

Taylor wears Miu Miu on the shoot.
