The fashion world is a jungle. It is a clear proponent of Darwinism; anyone who doesn’t believe that fashion is constantly evolving is foolish. With so much change you’d be excused if you can’t keep up with the times.
While everyone knows the main fashion houses, there are so many other fantastic designers who go under the radar. Below are some of the best designers who will be breaking out this year.
Chadwick Bell
These guys are certainly on the cusp of the mainstream of fashion. With showings at the London and Milan Fashion week the small California outlet (they only have 770 Twitter followers) are attracting much deserved attention.
With a focus on duality, Bell created a bespoke male collection that focuses on simplicity and sophistication. With an appreciation for Tweed, he creates beautiful, minimalistic chic items that are perfect for women.
The durability of Bell’s clothing is a big plus and the aforementioned duality is a huge positive, meaning you combine components of Bell with other items in your wardrobe. If you buy into the Tweed craze then Bell is your man.
Wes Gordon
Despite being 25-years-old Gordon is already in the high-end department stores throughout the world and was recently picked up by Harrods. With a strong palette for colours, Gordon mixes innovative and old-school fashion into a unique design. Considering he is 25-years-old and already tasting success, Gordon could easily go on to emulate Karl Lagerfeld and John Galliano.
Silvio Liu
Silvio Liu is the combination of designers Brian Wood and Danny Liu. With eclectic mixtures of colours these dresses are fantastic. With electric blue and metallic red it’s hard not to turn heads in a Silvio Liu.
Comfortable, chic and stylish, they are the perfect dress to wear to the races if you’re attending the upcoming Cheltenham festival. If one of your winners comes in with online betting company Titan Bet your original expenditure should be covered.
The melange of frills and lace with leather and sleeves puts Silvio Liu in its own fashion category. So, with Cheltenham Festival coming up then you should treat yourself to a Silvio Liu and if Titan Bet favourite Hurricane Fly wins you have ample dress room to celebrate without the risk of a wardrobe malfunction.
Maxime Simoens
The young Parisian fashion designer received mixed reviews
on his Haute Couture range. However, his gothic designs, colourblocking and geometrical cuts are hard not to enjoy. Now Simoens dresses are at the high end of the fashion spectrum and should be worn at special events. If you were to turn up to a ball in a Maxime Simoens then you would have many a man asking you for a dance.
M. Patmos
Marcia Patmos is revered in the fashion world. She doesn’t stick to the confines of fashion and seems much more comfortable working with no-thrills materials. Using fur and knit, as well as neutral colours, Patmos seems to make her job seem extraordinarily easy. Her biggest quality is the fact that she can design clothes that are simple and basic but also overwhelmingly appealing and comfortable.
