Liverpool’s hottest new events venue, The Rum Warehouse at Stanley Dock, was home to the Influence of Style Exhibition this weekend.
The biggest names in the industry came together showcasing their latest collections and products.
On arrival, guests were greeted with a free goodie bag – we love our freebies here at Purple Revolver!
Pop up stalls displayed a variety of designer company brands, local independent brands and of course a #Selfiestick stand for good measure.
Illamasqua, Nails Inc and Samantha Mitchell beauty experts were on hand to give visitors a relaxing pamper session and offer their top tips and advice.
Alexandra Collette, Noughts and Kisses, Vicky Martin and Oasis had their AW14 collections ready to wear.
Matalan, who have teamed up with a host of celebrities such as Pixie Lott, Wayne Rooney and Jessie J showcased their Alphabet scarves that are continuously raising awareness of the Alder Hey Children’s hospital in Liverpool where 100% of the profits go.
The stylish alphabet scarves, adult or child are a winter must have and make a perfect little Christmas gift for anyone.
Plus, knowing you are helping Alder Hey provide life-saving equipment for families across the UK is just priceless.
Hundreds of motivated and ambitious fashionistas gathered in the seminar room for an insight into a career in fashion or beauty.
Jenny Frost – former Atomic Kitten member – introduced the panel of star guests which included Andrew Collinge, award winning hairdresser of the year; Cassie Lomas, celebrity make-up artist; and Lorraine McCulloch, stylist to the stars.
The question on everyone’s lips: what was the best advice they could give to achieve a successful career?
Andrew: “Succeeding in anything is achievable, make yourself known. Be passionate. Be keen and get involved.”
Lorraine: “Nothing should be too much trouble. Be prepared for hard work and take any opportunity that comes your way.”
Cassie: “Love what you do. Learn from your experiences and don’t get comfortable. Treat every day like it is your first day at work!”
The three day ‘Celebration of Style’ extravaganza sadly draws to a close today but has without a doubt revived Liverpool’s reputation as the fashion capital of the North and has been an amazing event to rival those held in London, Paris and Milan.
