It’s that time on the fashion calendar again in the city that never sleeps, circled 10 times in thick black marker – New York Fashion Week. The hotly anticipated event began on the 4th September with hundreds of designers bringing their new lines to be showcased throughout the famous city.

Each show, from the likes of Alexander Wang, Carolina Herrera and Badgley Mischka, has been streamed live on the official website, meaning that keen fashionistas can also catch up on any shows that they have missed over the past week.

It’s no surprise that there have been swarms of famous faces filling front row seats, but we’ve also been treated to the odd celeb walking the catwalk too. Kendall Jenner, one of the younger Kardashian sisters has walked in numerous different shows, displaying her clear intentions to make a name for herself outside of her family.

So far this week the 18 year old starlet has walked for Diane Von Furstenberg for whom she wore a delicate monochrome minidress which complemented her dark hair and cat eyes.

The Tommy Hilfiger show had a different feel to it; dressing her in a skimpy bra and shorts combo and painting her body with a matching star print – perhaps a nod towards her celebrity status.

During these shows Kendall and her peers on the catwalk have been exposing the volume of young talent currently gliding around the modelling industry.

Familiar faces were seen not only on the catwalk but behind it, with Brit favourite Victoria Beckham putting on a well critiqued show for her Spring/Summer 15 collection. The emphasis on Victoria’s new line is ‘retail friendly and wearable’, with not a stiletto in sight.

Beckham stated “I wanted something minimal and graphic with a slightly raw element. Over the seasons I’ve loosened up the fit of my clothes – but they still make you look long and lean, they’re still wearable.”

To be expected, husband David and eldest son Brooklyn graced the front row looking typically stylish, accompanied by Vogue’s long running editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

New York Fashion Week continues this week and can be watched online at http://newyorkfashionweeklive.com/live.
