Aside from the most entertaining few seconds of the night when Madonna was dragged a good few feet down some stairs by a Minotaur, the Brit Awards also offered us some brilliant moments in terms of fashion.
The annual music ceremony isn’t just huge in terms of music, as everyone is always eager to see who is wearing what – a fascination which now comes with the territory of every important industry event.
Ed Sheeran, who won Best Male at last night’s festivities, was one of the first to hit the red carpet in an outfit which was actually pushing smart. He managed a suave black suit but it seemed that Ed couldn’t resist a nod to his usual casual comfort zone, with the Air Max trainers he sported on his feet.
Best friends Karlie Kloss and Taylor Swift were doing it for the American girls on the red carpet. Supermodel Kloss wore a stunning and clean cut Tom Ford gown, with monochromatic open shoulder detail.
Both girls of the extremely leggy ladies towered above most other guests – making their presence one to be well and truly noted.
Taylor Swift went down an unusual route with her get up – she chose a black and red Roberto Cavalli gown with a dramatic train and the image of a dragon emblazoned on her back. Perhaps a nod to the recent celebrations for Chinese New Year?
Keeping tradition, she still wore that ‘red lip, classic thing that you like’.
Much unlike her best mates Taylor and Karlie, Cara Delevigne kept things laid back in a shirt, trousers and fedora combo. The outfit was cool, but we’re not sure it was entirely appropriate for the star studded bash – thankfully it was saved by a pair of killer heels.
For socialite Cara however it was just another normal night – being surrounded by celebrities is certainly nothing new to the young model.
Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton kept things cute in an embroidered nude mini dress, which she complemented with a soft up do and colour pop pink earrings – things got even cuter when she posted a snap on Instagram of herself and husband Jesse Wood captioned ‘having a snog to Take That.’
The night saw Fearne reunite with Holly Willoughby who has been on the down low since the birth of her third child. Holly looked glowing as ever in a beautiful black Alice and Olivia mini dress, complete with high neck and white and red embellishment.
