Elliot Minor return to the music scene this winter with a new single and album in October and a UK tour in November.
The Emo rockers, whose sound is heavily influenced by classical music, will release their new single ‘Electric Hugh’ on October 5th (check out the video!) with their second album ‘Solaris’ to follow on October 19th.
The band will then play venues across the UK in November before a brief Irish tour in December to round off the year.
Elliot Minor, who got their break after winning a competition on MySpace to play with McFly, have had a remarkable 2008/09 with a top ten debut album and tours across the UK and Europe including numerous slots on the festivals circuit.
During this time the band had to start putting together their new album, a tough task admits singer Alex Davies: “I had heard about the pressures of a second album on the songwriter and I can assure you it is true,” he says.
“You have all your life to write your first album and months to write your second.
“Fortunately I had a load of melodies running around my head and lyric ideas that pulled from the changes in my life over the years that Elliot Minor was formed till now.
“The majority of the songs are uplifting as I was being positive in a pretty tough year to work through and the others are more personal and intimate.”
