X Factor finalist Fleur East took to the main stage at LIMF 2017 on Saturday 23rd July and stunned crowds with her slick dance moves and quirky song choices ranging from social media ‘challenge’ crazes to Rihanna’s work. The song choices complimented her astonishing moves, as well as her two dancers.
Perfect harmony and synch when performing created the excellent blend of dancing and singing, as well as full crowd interaction. Fleur and her dancers set the bar high with their energetic performance.
Fleur had the crowd going crazy from the moment she began. Singing some of her well-known tracks, like Sax, got the crowd going ready for Jax Jones and Gorgon City. However, not all her songs echoed the dance vibe we have come to know with Fleur – she managed to maintain the atmosphere with a more relaxed tone from her song Breakfast.
Not only does Fleur keep the crowd going, but she also creates an energy hard to avoid. Every member of the audience were dancing to her songs, as well as showing her why LIMF and Liverpool are one of the best cities to visit.
After seeing Fleur live, you realise just how passionate she is about what she does, yet still manages to maintain being humble after the success of Love, Sax and Flashbacks – her debut album – has brought her.
Re-energising the crowd after Breakfast came the song that gave her a number 1; Uptown Funk. The crowd definitely felt the heat from this performance. Combining the glamorous sunshine with Fleur and her dancer’s moves, the crowd were sure to follow and give Fleur the energy back.
The energy throughout her performance got the festival dancing, with the sun shining, set for a perfect evening of fantastic music. After Sax was played, out came DJ Adele Roberts to keep the spirits up, ready for Naughty Boy.
