Nicki Minaj thought her fellow American Idol judge Mariah Carey had too much wax in her ears and waved a cotton bud at her during a confrontation on the US talent show.
The pair of divas argued about a performance of Frank Sinatra cover Someone To Watch Over Me.
But Nicki would not take it laying down, and went into her purse for some ear buds and tried to hand them over to Mariah. She told the diva: “Clean your ears out, clean your ears out.”
Mariah shot back at the girl auditioning: “Darling, let me express this to her as a singer. Just sing from your heart every time and your notes will continue to shine regardless of the dirt that gets splattered around you.”
