LMW Opening Party – The Duke Spirit – Being Jo Francis

Purple Revolver photographer Marie Hazelwood was on hand to shoot the opening night of Liverpool Music Week at Mojo this week.

Taking place across a host of venues in the city, the festival’s spiritual heart is at Mojo, where it originally started.

Opening 2011’s autumn season with a band were London rockers The Duke Spirit.

Promoting newly released third LP Bruiser, the London band are just one of scores of acts that will be heading to the city over the coming weeks.

Being Jo Francis, who relocated to Liverpool from Coventry a few months ago are already turning heads with their powerful Biffy Clyro-esque tracks.

The trio have quickly become a firm favourite on the city’s live circuit.
