Liverpool’s very own SPINN exceeded our expectations as one’s to watch this Saturday at Sound City.
The band refer to themselves as the connoisseurs of Jangly Dream Pop and it’s now apparent that we are graciously in awe of their haircuts and euphonious sound.
Our love was confirmed when frontman Jonny shouted ‘Fuck the Tories!’ then shortly after apologised to his parents for swearing.
Jonny came through with his eccentric dance moves reminding us of a young Robert Smith and whatever he was on we will take 5.
The lads did not disappoint when performing tracks from their self titled EP. With their teardrop tangly guitar riffs in tracks like “She Takes Her Time” getting the crowd to shake off the heartbreak and crack on.
They closed their set with “Notice Me” which sounded like what we imagine it feels like to glide naked on water in the sun.
SPINN are as exciting as your nan’s pan of Scouse. They will be next performing at CloseUp Festival in Hoxton Square this Saturday taking the northern talent down south then bringing it back to the Liverpool O2 Academy on 28th September.
We will definitely be there supporting one of the most exciting local bands of 2018!
