Handprint ceremony with Danny Baker

Danny Baker is one of the UK’s best known broadcasters, familiar to all from NME, LWT, the BBC, Talk Radio, & BT Sport. He is also a comedy writer, journalist, DJ, and screenwriter. He will be visiting James Allen’s Girls’ School on Tuesday 4th March at midday.

Danny will be taking part in a Handprint Ceremony.

His handprints will form part of a Wall of Fame that will be within the Community Music Centre@jags.

Excitement is building at the School as the list of stars backing the campaign grows. Well-known names now include Amanda Redman, Joanna Lumley & husband Stephen Barlow, Sally Hawkins, Nicky Campbell, Charlotte Ritchie, Angela Gheorghiu…

The Community Music Centre@jags will be completed in 2017, by which point £17 million will have been raised. The CMC@jags will provide much needed musical resources for the area.

There will be a 400 seat concert hall, a 100 seat recital hall, 26 practice rooms, 3 music technology rooms, a listening room, and music therapy room.

The Centre will be home to community choirs, orchestras, & musical groups of all styles. It will provide the highest standards of accessibility so those of all physical & mental abilities can access the Centre.
