Maya played host to American posse Far East Movement, who brought their unique mix of party anthems to Liverpool for a special performance presented by drinks brand Chiroc.

Blazing away underneath the city’s top Mexican restaurant Lucha Libre, the basement bar was kitted out with an impromptu stage and sound system for the show.

The stylin’ crew got slizzard on Chiroc and poured it out for the fans in the front row before pulling out their own growing set of party anthems including Get Up and Like A G Six, which had the revellers rocking out hard.

Their accompanying DJ set kept the crowd pumped, tracks from ODB and Biggie drove down to a deep groove with the bar regulars, as Maya is known as much for their purveyor’s taste in classic hip hop as fine Tequilla.

The storming show proves the potential of Maya as a stage for live music and a force to be reckoned with.
