Clare Maguire returned to The Cockpit in Leeds on the final date of her UK headline tour. After playing second fiddle to Hurts back in October, Maguire has since released her debut album, Light After Dark and has quickly built a dedicated fanbase, who absolutely cram into the largest room in the venue.

Her lyrical dexterity allows her to completely control the tempo of the show, which sways from the bone shaking, moody bass of opener Ain’t Nobody (interestingly the Breakage remix version; if you can’t beat ’em…) to the pounding final of The Last Dance.

Clare Maguire will next be appearing on the 5th of May alongside Paloma Faith at the Union Chapel, London.
