Velocity Trampoline Park is helping people from around the region to bounce their way into shape thanks to a new fitness craze.

Trampolining is quickly becoming a firm favourite when it comes to exercise at the Widnes based venue, as well as in the USA and Dubai, and the activity has even become a hit with celebrities such as the Kardashians.

Unlike traditional forms of cardio, it burns on average 1000 calories per hour, and has been certified by NASA as being a ‘rebound’ exercise that is 68% more effective than jogging.

Managing Director of Velocity Leisure Steven Cosgrove said: “Even before we opened in July, we noticed a huge spike in the celebrity-inspired trend for trampolining as a fitness regime across America and Dubai. When we looked more into the benefits of the novel form of exercise, we knew immediately that it was something we had to bring to the North West.

“Since launching our classes, they have been extremely popular and we’ve since added more sessions throughout the week to respond to the demand. It’s no surprise though, as countless facts show that trampolining is easy on the joints, improves balance and effectively gets the heart rate up, making for a minimal-impact, anti-gravity cardio workout. It takes up to 80% of the stress off weight bearing joints, which make it a perfect activity for anybody looking for a low intensity and effective workout.”

Located on Bennetts Lane, Velocity Trampoline Park is the largest of its kind in the North West, boasting over 150 trampolines. The venue holds regular one-hour fitness classes every Monday and Wednesday evening – whereby each session offers a full body workout that aim to burns calories, tone and strength the core through jump, fly and spin motions.

Steven added: “As part of the team at Velocity Trampoline Park, we’ve recruited top fitness instructors to head our classes so that people can get the most out of their time on the trampolines.

“As a brand, we want to pride ourselves on the fact that our services certainly offer something for the whole family. Aside from our fitness classes, which are suitable for a range of ages, we also host Toddler Time, Club Nights (for 13-18 year olds), private parties and even corporate events. We’re encouraging everybody to come along and jump on board, as it really is a fun way to get fit quickly and easily.”

Classes take place each Monday and Wednesday between 8-9pm. Individual sessions are priced at £6.50, 10 sessions at £60 and 20 sessions at £110.
