After spending last year’s epic weekend in the genteel English countryside of Umbridge, 2015 delves into enchanted Forests, troll infested bridges & gingerbread cottages. Castles and topless towers await the wonderful imaginations of the UK’s best improvisers to populate them with characters and explore the deep dark recesses of storytelling. So come Into The Woods, get Enchanted and Once Upon a Time allow yourself to get Tangled in our Neverending Story… Or perhaps just Let It Go
The Improvathon is based on a format created and made popular by Canadian company DIE-Nasty, who have held an annual 50-hour “Soap-a-thon” for over 20 years. This year, Impropriety will be joined by improvisers from such companies as Showstopper, Project Two and Austentatious. Live improvised music will accompany the onstage silliness, previous years have seen collaborations with several local bands including Dogshow, Dead Hedge Trio, Kazimier Krunk Band and The Bog Standards.
