WWE WrestleMania is the biggest event in all of sports entertainment and/or professional wrestling.
For over 31 years it has captivated audiences worldwide, many exciting matches have taken place, Hulk Hogan slamming Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3, Daniel Bryan becoming WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 30, tonight is set be another huge night.
The state of the WWE is on the line, as Vince McMahon (who owns & runs the company)’s son Shane McMahon, competes in his first match in 7 years as he takes on The Undertaker in a Hell In a Cell Match, The Undertaker’s specialty is both WrestleMania (having only been beaten once) and Hell In a Cell, competing in 13 of them so far. Tonight’s match has so much on the line, if Shane McMahon wins, he gains control of WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night Raw and essentially the entire WWE, effectively removing his father, his sister Stephanie McMahon and her husband Triple H, from power. Vince McMahon also recently stated that if Undertaker failed to defeat Shane, this WrestleMania would be his last.
The WWE World Heavyweight Championship will also be on the line tonight, the Title holder right now is Triple H, his opponent? Roman Reigns, this looks to be the end of a storyline that began back in November when Reigns won his first World Title after winning a tournament, he lost it just minutes later due to shenanigans by The Authority, he’s been going back and forth with the McMahon family & Triple H ever since, winning it back days before Christmas, then being forced to put it on the line in January’s Royal Rumble PPV, which was when Triple H took it home.
Tonight however, Roman Reigns finally gets his rematch, going one on one with the man known as The King of Kings, the 14 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Triple H.
There’s so much happening at this year’s WrestleMania, it’s going to be incredible for all wrestling fans, and even those that are new to the world of wrestling and sports entertainment.
The 2 hour WrestleMania Kickoff show begins at 10pm GMT, this builds up to the show of shows and will also include some matches not on the main card, so that’s not to be missed. You can see this on YouTube live and also on the WWE Network.
