Staff at Home Baked Bakery situated outside Anfield have been enjoying the different atmosphere the Swifties have brought to the business compared to the usual crowd on match days.

The bakery on Oakfield Road is a staple for most match days, serving hundreds of Liverpool fans before they head to into the stadium, but this week their customers think of something slightly different when they hear Red.

Angela McKay the Operations manager for home baked told us: ‘As a woman it’s been amazing to see young women and young children just getting dressed up,  glammed and going to just have a good time’ and described it as “empowering to see everyone dress up and feel comfortable wearing what ever they want”.

She went on to explain how the staff have enjoyed speaking to people that had come from all over the world to see the Era’s tour in Liverpool, she said they’ve had a lot of Americans come in.

Not only are they serving the fans pastries they have also been playing matchmaker with solo swifties. Angela said: “We’ve been chatting to people and introducing them to people, especially people who have come on their own”.

She went on to say that after the shifts at the bakery she’s able to listen to Taylor from her home and her favourite part isn’t being able to hear the hits but hearing the crowd cheer at the end of each one of her songs.

Homebaked is a community ran business famous for their steak pies and plans to regenerate homes in Anfield to create affordable houses.

Angela stated that the last three days: “As a community business have been great as any money made can go straight back into the business especially since this is our off season without the football”.

She just hopes the weather stays good for any Swifties partying at the final Taylor Swift show tonight.
