Music fans walking past the new Northern flagship Rough Trade store, maybe wondering what’s going to be unveiled. The anticipation is over as the hidden gem has opened for business.
With two floors, the new store provides an endless opportunity for music lovers to dive deeper into their favourite sounds or branch out and develop new tastes. With hundreds of records to discover, Rough Trade, on Hanover Street, will be open seven days a week.
For those who are interested in reading more into the background and history of their favourite artists, there is an exclusive book collection tailored for all ages and genres.
Whilst submerged in the euphoria of music, you can also indulge in a caffeine hit from the cafe located on the first floor.
There is a venue space dedicated for in-store events, with a capacity of 290. Along with a bar serving the finest of beers supplied by Signature Brew. This space will be a great networking opportunity for artists to showcase their talents, as well as provide a local hub to build a community for musicians in Liverpool to come together collectively to share their enthusiasm and passion.
Here at Purple Revolver HQ, we feel this is an exciting opportunity for music lovers as the store is exclusively designed for the culture and art of music. As you walk in the front door, you are met by an array of vinyl and cassettes and for me, this acts as a time capsule – as old music that may have been forgotten can be rediscovered by different generations.
Rich Nemeth, Head of Retail at Rough Trade said, “We aim for Rough Trade Liverpool to become a central hub for music fans of Liverpool and to reflect the rich and diverse music scene.”
