It’s Sunday the 22nd of November, which is the 25th Anniversary of the phenom, The Undertaker’s WWE debut.
This week’s ACBA image of the week features The Undertaker’s kayfabe brother Kane, in a shot from his classic, underrated Steel Cage Match with his former tag team partner X-Pac, this match happened during the famous Attitude Era of the WWE back in December of 1999.
The shot comes to us from hardcore WWE fan Michael Amtsberg, who we’ve featured in the past, he’s a resident ACBA artist for wrestling shots, which is brilliant!
We reached out to Michael on why he chose to recreate this spot, here’s what the had to say:
“So basically the premise and inspiration for this specific shot comes from Kane vs X-Pac. One of my favourite storylines, it was nothing fancy, just simple betrayal and straight wrestling. Their Armageddon match in my opinion is so underrated, Kane and X-Pac had great chemistry together in rivalry matches and together as WWE Tag Team Champions. If you haven’t seen the Armageddon match check it out you will not be disappointed.”
There you have it, a great shot from a brilliant artist, recreating a classic and underrated match!
