The rain may have poured but the enthusiasm was never dampened as the curtain came down on another year at Creamfields.

Day two more than matched Saturday’s proceedings with fantastic performances from 2manyDJs, Calvin Harris, Basement Jaxx and of course the hotly anticipated Dizzee Rascal on main stage.

Elsewhere, DeadMau5 proved why he is one of the hottest DJs around right now with a terrific set on the Mixmag Terrace.

2manyDJs were the standout act of the afternoon as they donned their tuxedos and dropped their magic beats.

There was everything from The Clash to Michael Jackson as video screens helpfully displayed the artwork for each song they mixed!

Calvin Harris welcomed us all to his matinee performance and promised to keep his “sh**te” stage talk to minimum which he did.

The Purple Revolver Scottish flag flashmob was once again out in force for the ‘Ready For The Weekend’ star and they loved it!

Harris returned to the stage later in the evening accompanying Dizzee Rascal on last year’s hit tune ‘Dance Wiv Me.’

He inexplicably remained on stage for the performance of Dizzee’s newly crowned number one tune ‘Holiday’ with lots of dad dancing and awkwardness!

That moment aside, Dizzee himself was in fine form, mixing his old grime roots with his new electro hip hop beats which have soared to the top of the charts.

Basement Jaxx finished the night off on main stage but Canadian DJ Deadmau5 was proving popular over at the Mixmag Terrace with his progressive and electro house set.

The feature of his performance is the massive mouse head he dons at various stages with many fans donning their own mouse ears in appreciation.

His set ended with a rather curious play of Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ but by that time people were filing back to the camp site to sleep off the weekend before they headed home.

The festival’s overall success is undoubted with Cream CEO James Barton telling Purple Revolver earlier in the evening that there had been no major incidents of violence or crime in the festival grounds or on the camp site.

And the quality of the music throughout the two days was undoubted.

Same again next year please!
