Jodie Comer is set to reprise her award-winning role in Prima Facie for one last time, with the critically acclaimed play heading on tour in 2026. The production will conclude at Liverpool Playhouse, offering the hometown star a fitting farewell to the role that earned her both Olivier and Tony awards.

Suzie Miller’s gripping one-woman drama follows a barrister who specialises in defending men accused of sexual assault, only to become a victim herself. Comer’s performance in Prima Facie first captivated audiences in the West End before transferring to Broadway, where it continued to receive widespread praise.

Reflecting on the upcoming tour, Comer said: “Returning to Prima Facie for one final time is a huge privilege. This play has been an incredibly meaningful part of my journey, and I can’t think of a better way to close this chapter.”

The tour kicks off at Richmond Theatre on 23 January 2026, before visiting cities including Dublin, Edinburgh, Cardiff, York, Bath, Canterbury, and Birmingham. Liverpool Playhouse will host the final performances from 17 to 21 March.

Prima Facie has sparked important conversations about how the legal system handles sexual assault cases, with Miller—who worked as a lawyer for 15 years—describing the courts as “not fit for purpose” in such trials. The production has ongoing partnerships with organisations such as the Schools Consent Project and Everyone’s Invited, which aim to raise awareness and support survivors.

Directed by Justin Martin, the play also features an original score by musician Rebecca Lucy Taylor, better known as Self Esteem. Tickets for the tour will be available from 25 March.
