Internet Stand up sensation Horatio Gould has won a dedicated audience in recent years after going viral on Tiktok and Instagram with sketches that lampoon British Culture such as “Every British T.V show in the 2000’s” with 5.5 million views on TikTok and “Love Actually If the Husband opened the door” which has 1.4 million views.

Horatio’s observations are very reminiscent of Chris Morris and Brass Eye, especially on the “Every British T.V show in the 2000’s” and “Every British Tabloid headline in the early 2000s” which make fun of the sensationalist and insensitive ways the media reported serious issues.

The satirist, who is coming to Liverpool next month as part of his Sweet Prince tour, also hosts the excellent Boys Gone Wild podcast, with his frequent collaborator Andrew Kirkwan.

Horatio’s stand up is notable for combining witty observations on the absurdities of modern life with dry social comedy. He has many stories about his personal life, especially about his oddball father, that will leave the audience in stitches. He also has top notch crowd work skills and can improv with the best of them.

Besides his own material, he has already worked with some pretty big names, such as directing Sean Walsh’s special Kiss and writing for Frankie Boyle’s New World Order TV show. Horatio also produces the hit podcast Fin Vs The Internet, hosted by frequent collaborator Fin Taylor.

Seann Walsh describes Gould as: “This country’s Judd Apatow.” Having made many sold out appearances at the Edinburgh fringe festival and reaching the finals of Southwest Comedian of the year 2019, this young rib tickler is one you don’t want to miss.

The young comedian will be performing at the Liverpool’s Hot Water Comedy club on the 23rd of February as part of his 19-date Sweet Prince solo tour.

Tickets can be purchased from the Hot Water Comedy Club website
