The last few days have given us a series of still images of Deadpool. He can be seen monitoring the damage after a fight; he’s pictured riding around town with his BFF Negasonic Teenage Warhead. He’s now made it all the way onto Entertainment weekly, he graces the cover of their Comic-Con Bonus Issue. Check out the great Deadpool EW cover on the side of this text.

Deadpool’s EW cover offers a glimpse at the assassin up close, his speech bubble is characteristically witty and fourth-wall shattering. “Wait, this isn’t Sexiest Man Alive?”, a not so subtle reference to People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2010 issue, in which Deadpool star and new father, Ryan Reynolds, took the honour.

Deadpool is scheduled to open on the 12th of February 2016, just in time for Valentine’s Day, because what’s a better romantic movie than a seeing a sadistic psychopathic mercenary slice off people’s heads?….

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool will star Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, along with Gina Carano as Angel Dust.
