Animal instinct: 1990s fashion rules OK

The popular trends of the 1990s reign supreme on the runway and high street as flared trousers with slits and animal prints dominate the future-throwback vibe of Spring’s new dawn.

Leopard-print, zebra-print and giraffe-print are more urban jungle than barmaid floozy when worn with classic black or popping scarlet accessories. Rhett Butler object of affection optional.

Fashion-zillas with claws are rocking the look hard with clashing animal prints. Giraffe print on top to stay heads above the competition, zebra or cheetah printed pants or boots to make a swift getaway.

Or for a more grunge-inspired vibe try tie-dye or psychedelic trousers.

How will you rock animal print this Spring – will you be rocking classic colour-blocking or dare to brave the new wave jungle clash?

Grr baby, very grr.
