Liverpool fashionistas, we have some exciting news for you! Fashion extravaganza The Clothes Show is moving to the fashionable city of Liverpool after being held at NEC Birmingham for the last 27 years.

So keep your diary free between 7th-9th July 2017- a bit far ahead we know but we promise it’s worth it.

The Clothes Show is the UK’s biggest fashion show, with previous footfall figures falling at 100,000. Usually The Clothes Show is held in December, but bosses have decided to hold the festival during the summer month of July instead.

To compliment the change in season the show will be presenting the newly branded British Style Collective. Taking over Liverpool’s ACC as well as iconic buildings such as St George’s Hall and uber cool Camp & furnace, the citywide festival will last for 3 fun filled days.

British Style Collective 2017 is promising an immersive experience. With an interactive show for Liverpool, alongside educational seminars.

But that’s not all, there will be glamorous catwalks, pop up shops from more than 250 fashion and beauty brands, clothing and beauty demonstrations and even celebrity meet and greets. Fashion foodies should worry not; there will be plenty of food and drinks stalls at the event too.

The Clothes Show has an impressive history, having first debuted 30 years ago on the BBC. The popularity of the show allowed the move from the TV screen to a growing live audience.

From here The Clothes Show has gone from strength to strength and is renowned for discovering & launching the careers of many house hold names such as Cat Deeley and Erin O’Connor.

The festival is organised by UK-based, global company Haymarket Media Group, which is owned by the former Minister for Merseyside, Lord Heseltine.

The festival has received full backing from Liverpool City Council, with Mayor Joe Anderson saying: “The Clothes Show has long been the leading fashion exhibition in the country.

“It is testament to the reputation of this city and its credibility when it comes to staging major events that Haymarket has chosen to make Liverpool the home to one of their flagship brands.

“We have world class venues, a track record of entertainment and a city full of people who live and breathe fashion. It really is a perfect fit.”

With such a long, iconic and very fashionable history it would be a shame to miss such an event. Although tickets are not officially on sale, you can register for early bird tickets through British Style Collective’s website.
