Princess Superstar, who has had two top ten hits in the UK (one of which is ironically called Bad Babysitter!) has toured all over the world as both a rapper and an electronic DJ, and has worked with everyone from Moby, the Prodigy, and Margaret Cho; and was a featured rapper on Grandmaster Flash’s last album.

Now she presents a non-profit project which is a children’s album called “These are the Magic Days.” She is funding it in partnership with Indiegogo and Fractured Atlas, a fiscal sponsor.

“The kids are getting one hell of a teacher.” -The NY POST

This record will be given away for free to the children of the world as part of a “Free Art” movement!

Princess Superstar says, “I am a mother of a 4 year old named Siren, and I am committed to the art of parenting- nurturing a remarkable human being through connection, empathy, peaceful parenting and LOVE.”

“I am committed to teaching others about EQ (emotional intelligence!) and at the same time -I’m a bad ass chick who raps! Can these two co-exist? YES. And don’t you want to hear both on a record for your kids? YES.”

“Most of my daughter’s music that I am subjected to hurts my ears, especially on the ten thousandth listen. What if there could be a cool, funny, whip smart, deep, timeless record which taught parents and kids alike how to live in this insane world; how to be an awesome child (and parent); how to feel your feelings; connect with your child and teach them empathy and compassion; and how to ROCK?”

“That’s what I am creating. Also, I am trying another experiment- I am giving this record away for FREE to the children of the world! I want every single parent and child to hear this message of love and nurturance that I am creating, regardless if they can buy it or not. In this “for profit” world I am trying to see if it would be cool to forge a path where artists live on a salary and be non-profit entities, just making art that is good for the world and being sustained.”

Princess Superstar has always been considered a DIY pioneer in the music business, being recognized by everyone from The Wall Street Journal to Business Week. She started her own indie record label for her own music in the 90’s first called “A Big Rich Major Label” and then later renamed to “The Corrupt Conglomerate” (after all the music companies started merging together.)

In 2010 she was one of the FIRST artists to successfully complete a Pledge Music campaign with her campaign for “The New Evolution.” Princess was a super early adopter before Kickstarter et al. hit critical mass, and back then every magazine and newspaper covered her because of the novelty of the idea that artists could ask the fans to support them ( USA Today wrote about how for $10,000 she would give a burlesque show!)

Now, she is innovatingly exploring being a non-profit entity. She is fiscally sponsored as a non-profit artist through Fractured Atlas and is standing behind a “Free Art” movement – a movement to give away art that helps the world for free, and at the same time allowing artists to live and work.
