Tyler The Creator says he would like to move into film and be remembered amongst the likes of Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino.
The Odd Future founder seems to have been thinking about his own future recently, saying: “I hate rapping. It puts you in this box… I’m talented enough to do other things.
“I don’t know, I’m pretty bored with it. It’s not interesting. In the future, I want to do films. I want people to mention my name next to Wes Anderson or Quentin Tarantino. I don’t want my name to be mentioned next to other rappers at all.”
With over 183,000 followers on Instagram, the young rapper is also surprisingly not a fan of social media, saying: “it’s stupid” and is “making kids so stupid.”.
After growing up in a single parent household the rapper, who now also wants to sing, said: “I think, if I had a Dad I would have went the normal college route,”, he added “I’m so stoked my life panned out how it has.”
With fans all around the world and with big ideas for his future Tyler now wants to create a life for himself using his different talents.
The Yonkers rapper seems to be following the advice he once received from Oscar nominated musician Pharrell Williams, which was simply to “just be”.
