Holier Than Thou Records group MATCHSTICKMEN has announced the release of its much-anticipated new album. “FROM OUR OWN ASHES” — the rock band’s follow-up to their debut album “THROUGH HELL…AND KEPT GOING” — arrives everywhere on September 9th.

The album includes the track “FOR NO REASON’, – originally a charity single for CyberSmile (cybersmile.org) who are committed to tackling all forms of digital abuse and bullying online.

“From Our Own Ashes” is all about the songwriting, extremely melodic hooks and powerful production that delivers an eclectic mix of alternative and classic rock.
Matchstickmen originate from an acoustic background, their previous releases testing out songs and lyrics to music buyers and the media. The bands attention to detail inspired the press to pick up on the bands talents, as their review history shows – http://www.matchstickmen-band.com/press

Matchstickmen are:

Iain Forsyth – Bass, Backing vocals
Peter Donnelly – Guitar
Dave Hornby – Drums
Lewis Wright – Vocals, Piano

“FROM OUR OWN ASHES” will be released via Holier Than Thou Records and available for pre-order soon from all major digital distributors.
