Dizzee Rascal exploded into an obscene Twitter rant at Radio 1 on Tuesday after his new song Love This Town failed to make their playlist.
The London rapper called the station ‘2 faced’ demanding ‘you c********** better stop playing me.’
Dizzee feels the station are too lenient with American artists, claiming the station only has a problem if it’s ‘coming from the n***** down the road’.
The rant shocked Radio 1 chiefs who were puzzled by the online attack from the rapper, after working closely with Dizzee over his 10 year career.
They said: “We’ve given Dizzee huge support over the last decade” adding “we are really surprised to read these comments.”
The station currently feature three singles off Dizzee’s new album The Fifth, but the rant was sparked after they after removed the song Something Really Bad from their playlist.
In the outburst Dizzee admitted, “Going against radio 1 isn’t smart but I’m tired holding it down and being a good little n*****.” and even turning on the popular live lounge feature saying, “F*** Live Lounge! If I gotta keep fighting to get my s*** played why bother doing someone else’s song so you can sell it on ur s***** comp!”
