We’re past the point that the nineties are a swear word, with fashion and music revisiting the decade with unrestrained lust, and CUT GLASS KINGS have joined forces once again with producers, The Coral’s James and Ian Skelly to inadvertently exude everything that was so vital about guitar music’s big hitters of that time.
Prior to setting off on their longest UK tour to date, the band release a single that bleeds the best of Supergrass and spits shards of the most essential, early Oasis to speaker-splitting effect.
Released on Friday 8 April 2016, ‘Only A Day Dream’ has the sound of a band cutting a comfortable niche for themselves by going boldly where others fear to tread. Their formula isn’t retro, but nor is it in denial of the splendour of adrenaline-spiked guitar music from British music’s previously overlooked, gold-flecked decade, adding hints of classic T-Rex as they go.
Taking in seven dates of The Coral’s UK Tour, Cut Glass Kings support the band in their home city of
Birmingham. The full list of dates:
Fri 4th March – Newcastle Riverside – SOLD OUT

Hailing from Stourbridge in the West Midlands and made up of Paul Cross (guitar, keys & vocals) Richard Foster (bass & backing vocals) Greg McMurray (drums & backing vocals), Cut Glass Kings are a reincarnation, a combination of all of their shared influences and a former band that they shared, loved and let go.
Their second release on Skeleton Key makes concrete the label owners and producers, the Skelly brothers’ conviction that the band’s searing live performances, whether in isolation or as supports to The Sundowners and ex-label mates, Blossoms, can be matched in the studio.
