Ready For The Weekend star Calvin Harris has admitted he can’t stand living in London and is looking forward to escaping up North for Creamfields.
The Dumphries disco don said the oppressive atmosphere makes people ‘miserable and scared’ and he can’t wait for the day he can move back home.
Speaking ahead of his headline set at Creamfields Calvin said that he only lives in London because his work forces him to be there.
The electro powerhouse often takes a swipe at the London scene on his Twitter profile and says he’d rather be at home making beats than out partying with the Cockney fakes.
Calvin, 25, said: “I do have a problem with things in London, but I have to get on with it.
“The traffic and atmosphere there is very oppressive and it makes most of the people miserable and scared.
“I have to be based in London because of my work.
“But I’m looking forward to the day when I can move back up North.
“I love Northern crowds and am looking forward to getting up for Creamfields.
“There are too many scenesters in London who don’t want to dance, basically anywhere above Nottingham is fine by me.”
