From breakthrough performances at SXSW and The Great Escape, to their current run of SOLD OUT headline shows in the capital, and landmark festival appearances at Glastonbury and Latitude, Blaenavon are rapidly emerging as one of 2016’s most exciting new acts.

Latest single Let’s Pray is currently on regular rotation at Radio 1 – picking up daily plays and being championed by Annie Mac and Huw Stephens – whilst the NME called the cut “sweet, delicate and powerful” when including in their Best New Tracks.

The band have now unveiled its accompanying video – a darkly humorous revenge-film directed by fast rising collaborator Claes Nordwall. Watch HERE

Discussing the film, the director offered the following;

“I wanted to bring the exploitation and revenge-film style into a current scenario. Taking a loose cue from Abel Ferarra’s “Ms. 45” (1981). This cold blooded / calm tempered girl being a dystopian example of an increasingly detached youth who spend too much time online. It felt like a suitable plot for the song’s dark lyrical themes.”

‘Let’s Pray’ is a massive, emotive and bold statement of intent from the Hampshire three-piece on top of their game, Blaenavon’s dark romanticism exudes lonesome warmth – reminiscent of The Smiths and The Cure – and self-assured, mellifluous tendencies. It’s the second track – following Radio 1 Single Of The Week ‘I Will Be The World’ – taken from their forthcoming debut, produced by Grammy-winning producer Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Adele, Bombay Bicycle Club, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Bjork).
