Barton Rouge has opened its doors to the public in the heart of Liverpool’s thriving Commercial District.

Following the Exchange Street venue’s anticipated arrival to the city, after gaining high-acclaim in Cheshire with sister sites spanning across Chester and Heswall, the charcoal pit and contemporary Indian kitchen is set to spice things up with a series of exclusives.

Having selected the cosmopolitan postcode to compliment the brand, the look of the third venue resembles the original sites, while introducing its own unique charm and characteristics, together with an all-new menu offering.

Interior highlights include a bar mezzanine level which overlooks the downstairs dining area, together with a series of impressive light wall installations, multi-textural aesthetics such as exposed brick, hound’s-tooth fabric chairs, fur stools and plush velvet booths, alongside grand suspended chandeliers.

Founder of Barton Rouge Amit Kumar said: “Having built a pristine reputation amongst the Cheshire community over the past six years, we are delighted to have opened our doors in the heart of Liverpool’s bustling business district. When it came to pinpointing a prime Liverpool destination, this area was the perfect fit for us as brand, as not only does it share a similar vibe, it’s great to join a consortium of esteemed names in the hospitality industry.

“Together with furthering our geographical reach, our new opening brings with it an exciting series of brand exclusives including the introduction of Old Delhi style street food, a lunchtime menu ideal for busy corporates on-the-go, alongside a medley of signature cocktails perfect for after-work drinks or weekend celebrations with friends and family. Being the biggest venue yet with a 180 cover capacity, we hope that the space will also become a destination of choice for those wanting to host private functions with a difference.”

In line with the establishment of the new site, a series of new menu additions have been devised on a venue exclusive basis. As part of the extended offerings, Old Delhi style street food such as Chandi Chowk and Dabbas has been introduced and will be served during lunch and dinner. What’s more, a quintuple of signature cocktails have been concocted to compliment the extensive food selection.

Amit added: “While the introduction of street food has been in the pipeline for a while, we thought it was best to coincide its launch with the new venue opening. As the street food craze continues to sweep the nation, we want to put a unique stamp on our culinary creations. Our dishes capture the true essence of Indian cuisine, in particular traditional Old Delhi home cooking, as they combine nostalgic flavour infusions with a hint of contemporary elegance.

“Not only will the varied options be available in dinner form, we have also added a lunch menu for the first time in a bid to encourage city corporates to make the most of out of their lunch break and come and explore their horizons through a unique cultural culinary journey.”
